A new year typically brings a symbolic fresh start and a sense of renewed energy.  Who, among us, doesn’t welcome or need that, especially with the energy of the past several years and the pandemic?

January is the first month of the twelve-month calendar cycle, and the number one represents the start of numbers.  January is associated with the Roman deity, Janus, who is the god of beginnings, gates, transitions, and time, as well as duality, doorways, passages, frames, and endings, according to Roman mythology.  With this information in our awareness, we can tune in to this energy to assist us as we navigate our healing journeys — digging deeply to recover our essences, to integrate our lessons and our recovery from painful patches, to re-imagine and re-create ourselves, and to re-emerge re-vitalized and ready for our next steps on our path.

Yes, there are a lot of “re” words here, which flow beautifully with the new year 2023 beginning in a Mercury Retrograde phase.
